Clinical Supervision for
LMFT Associates & Student Interns

Beginning your journey as a therapist is both meaningful and challenging. The early years of clinical work often bring excitement, uncertainty, and a deep desire to grow in your skills and professional identity. Growth rarely happens in isolation, which is why supervision is such an essential space.

At Trellis Therapy, we approach supervision as a collaborative, systemic, and developmentally informed process. We provide LMFT Associates/Candidates and MFT student interns in Oklahoma and North Carolina with a supportive environment to deepen clinical understanding, explore their professional identity, and build competence and confidence in working with individuals, couples, and families.

Taylor Holloman M.S., LMFT, AAMFT approved supervisor candidate provides the clinical supervision at Trellis Therapy.

My Approach

I, Taylor, bring a relational, empathic, and culturally attuned approach to supervision. As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate, I have training in helping MFTs develop both their clinical skills and professional identity.

Supervision is designed to help clinicians develop in the following areas:

  • Enhance clinical skills and case conceptualization

  • Develop confidence and competence as a therapist

  • Explore self-of-the-therapist dynamics

  • Strengthen systemic thinking

  • Ethical decision making

  • Case documentation and case management

  • Develop a professional identity within the field of Marriage and Family Therapy

  • Prepare for independent licensure

  • Understand practicing in a private practice setting

  • And more based on your unique needs and goals

As a supervisor, I use an EFT and IFS framework while paying attention to the developmental level of the clinician. I use this integrated model to help clinicians explore case conceptualization, relational dynamics, and self-of-the-therapist work that strengthens clinical skills and confidence. Supervision also includes ongoing reflection around cultural humility, recognizing that effective therapy requires sensitivity to the diverse experiences and identities of the clients we serve.

My goal is to provide a supportive space where emerging therapists feel encouraged, challenged, and prepared to flourish in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Who is a good fit for supervision
at Trellis Therapy?

Supervision at Trellis Therapy is most meaningful for clinicians who are curious, reflective, eager to grow their own clinical approach, and want to develop a deeper understanding of their professional identity. It is ideal for those who are committed to growth, are willing to challenge themselves, and embrace opportunities for learning.

If this resonates with you, supervision at Trellis Therapy provides a supportive, collaborative environment to grow in competence and confidence while preparing for independent practice.
