Do you accept insurance?

I currently do not accept insurance. However, I am happy to provide you with the necessary paperwork for you to submit an out-of-network provider claim form. I have listed some of the important questions to ask your insurance company if you are curious about how much they will reimburse you for our sessions.

Questions to ask your insurance company:

  1. Does my plan cover mental health benefits? Does that include couples and/or family therapy?

  2. How much do you reimburse for an out-of-network provider?

  3. Do I need to meet a deductible before reimbursement occurs?

  4. How many sessions will be covered or reimbursed?

  5. Is approval needed from my primary care provider?

  6. Where can I access the out-of-network claim form and how do I submit the form?

Benefits of
Virtual Therapy

Accessibility and Convenience: Virtual therapy removes geographical and physical barriers, enabling clients to access mental health services from the comfort of their homes. This is particularly beneficial for individuals in remote areas, those with mobility challenges, or those with busy schedules.

Privacy: Engaging in therapy from a private home setting can alleviate concerns about encountering acquaintances in waiting rooms, thereby increasing your privacy.

Cost Effectiveness: Online therapy can be more affordable due to the elimination of travel expenses.

Benefits of
In-Person Therapy

Enhanced Nonverbal Communication: Face-to-face interactions allow therapists to better observe body language, facial expressions, and other nonverbal cues, which can provide deeper insights into a client's emotional state and improve the therapeutic process.

Felt Presence: In-person sessions offer a heightened sense of presence and connection, allowing you to feel fully immersed in the therapeutic environment. Being together in the same space can strengthen emotional engagement and the therapeutic experience.

Access to a Broader Range of Therapeutic Modalities: Certain therapeutic techniques can be more effectively conducted in person, where therapists can utilize physical space and direct interaction.

Are our sessions confidential?

Building trust between a client and the therapist is essential to successful therapy. While our conversations are confidential, there are a few limits to confidentiality. I have provided the reasons therapists may have to break confidentiality, with or without client consent due to ethical and legal regulations in the state of North Carolina and/or Oklahoma.

Limits to confidentiality:

  1. Suspected child abuse or neglect.

  2. Suspected abuse or neglect to an elderly or disabled person.

  3. If you are a threat or danger to yourself or another person.

  4. If I am subpoenaed by a court of law.

  5. If there is a medical emergency due to legal and ethical obligations in NC and OK.

We would love to connect with you on the possibility of working together!
